The LEADER-Region Mostviertel-Mitte is a registered association founded
in 2007. The LEADER association developed from the Regional Strategic Association
Pielachtal founded in 1996. The LEADER-Region Mostviertel-Mitte consists of 39
municipalities forming a geographic, social and economic connected region. The
region is subdivided into five smaller regions (Kleinregionen) - Melktal, Hoch6, GeMaPriMa, Pielachtal,
Traisen-Gölsental, - the Gemeindeverbund Schallaburg and 5 single municipalities.
